Several kennels around Ruka sell direct. The lowest price in the table is Arctic Runaway Husky's 5 km trail in Oivanki, €92 (child €46). Lammintupa, 8 km from the village, runs a 5 km self-drive safari for €120 (child €95), and Erä-Susi, 7 km away, a 5 km family tour for €125 (child €85); neither of these two prices includes a hotel transfer. With a pick-up in Ruka, Ruka Adventures' 5 km farm visit costs €194 and Ruka Safaris' 5 km taster €215.
Arctic Runaway Husky: 5 km in the Oivanki forest, €92 (child under 12 €46). You drive the sled. The page gives no duration; bookings by email. Arctic Runaway Husky is not on the Green Activities list; the welfare table below shows what its website says about the dogs.

Ruka Adventures: 5 km with a farm visit, 2 hours, €194 (child €145). You can drive or ride as a passenger.

Ruka Husky: 25 km with a three-course lunch, about 4 hours with 2 hours on the sled, €275 per adult, two to a sled. Recommended for families with children over 12; bring your own winter clothing.
Ruka Safaris' prices come from its 2026–27 programme, published in September. Its booking calendar had no dates open yet on 20 October.
Ruka Adventures' terms say the price in its web store is the binding one. The table shows the standard rate there; some dates carry a high-season rate.
Railakka, a small kennel in Suorajärvi 23 km from Ruka, runs private safaris only, from €490 for one or two people on its 5 km trail.
Ruka Husky runs its safaris from Ollilan Lomamajat in Sossonniemi, Kuusamo, and Arctic Runaway Husky from Oivanki. Ruka Husky takes bookings by email or phone and Arctic Runaway Husky by email. Neither price list names a season, so confirm the price when you book.
Rukapalvelu in Ruka sells a 5 km safari at Lammintupa's kennel combined with a reindeer ride, with winter clothing and the transfer from Ruka included. It takes about 3.5 hours.
Sled safaris need snow. The season runs from about November to April, and the first weeks depend on how early the snow comes; check what the operator does if there is too little.
